Overview:
Zoryl-M 2 Tablet PR belongs to a category of medicines known as anti-diabetic drugs. It is a combination of two medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
Zoryl-M 2 Tablet PR should be taken with food. Take it regularly at the same time each day to get the most benefit. Your doctor will decide what dose is best for you and this may change from time to time according to how it is working according to your blood sugar levels.
Keep taking this medicine, even if you feel well or your blood sugar levels are controlled. If you stop it without consulting your doctor, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems and loss of limbs. Remember that it is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes.
Contraindication:
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er is not recommended if you have an active liver disease indicated by high levels of Transaminase levels in the body.
Allergy
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er is not recommended if you have a known history of allergy to it.Uses:
Primary Hypercholesterolemia (high levels of cholesterol in the blood)
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er is used in the lowering of abnormally high levels of lipids in the blood.
Mixed Dyslipidemia
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er is used to reduce high levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood (main constituents of body fat in humans and other animals,well as vegetable fat). It also increases the levels of high density cholesterol.
Hypertriglyceridemia
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er is used in the lowering of triglycerides in the blood.
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er is also used in the management of blood cholesterol and lipid levels in cases where the condition is inherited.
Side Effects:
In addition to its intended effect, Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er may cause some unwanted effects too. In such cases, you must seek medical attention immediately. This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. Please inform your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction to the medication.
Cough
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause severe cough as a side effect. It should be promptly reported to the doctor
Difficulty in swallowing
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause difficulty while swallowing food. It should be promptly reported to the doctor.
Diarrhea
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause diarrhea along with stomach discomfort, nausea, and vomiting.
Impaired Liver function
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause an increase in serum Transaminase and other components indicating an impaired liver function.
Joint pain
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause pain in the joints.
Muscle Pain
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause pain in muscles along with cramps and twitches.
Running Nose
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause running nose and difficulty in breathing.
Difficulty in breathing
Insomnia
Zoryl M 2 Tablet Er can cause lack of sleep in some patients.
Dosage:
Are there any missed dose instructions?
The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dosage then the missed dose can be skipped.
Are there any overdose instructions?
It is recommended to discontinue the medication and contact your doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected.
